Future Tense Conjugation of Irregular Verbs

The future tense is a verb form that’s used to express what the subject will do or what action or event will occur in the future. The Spanish future tense is equivalent to the English tense formed with the auxiliary word will.

The future tense of regular verbs is formed by adding the future endings to the infinitive of the verb. Even some of the most highly irregular verbs (such as ser, estar, and ir) are regular in the future tense.

There are a few verbs that do not use their infinitives as the stem for the future tense. In general, most of the verbs that are irregular in the future tense modify and/or shorten the infinitive.

In Spanish, the future endings are the same for all regular and irregular verbs. The endings for the future tense are as follows: , -ás, , -emos, -éis, -án.
